Hi
everyone!
I'm
so happy to have with me today my friend and fellow Crimson Romance sister, Robyn
Neeley. Robyn's debut novel, Destination
Wedding was released 10 June 2013. I just loved this funny, fast past, charming
romance. There is this certain towel incident in the hallway outside a hotel
room that had me spewing my coffee and laughing till it hurt. Here is what the
reviewers are saying about Destination Wedding.
·
Robyn
Neeley pens a charming tale. I adored Destination Wedding and the memorable
characters hidden behind the gorgeous cover.
·
This
was a fast and fun read! It reminded me of a 1950s/60s romantic comedy with
Doris Day and Rock Hudson.
·
Loved
this mistaken identity rom-com! Fast-paced, clever, funny and romantic, this
book is the perfect summer read! Highly recommend to all who love witty
romances.
Robyn
has asked me to give you a little peak into Destination Wedding. She invited one
of her hilarious characters, Miles Payne to be interviewed by me. Miles is our
heroine, Kate Ashby's assistant, and he had a front row seat of all that went on
between Kate, the hero, Luke Cannon, and his identical twin brother, Drew. To set
the stage, here is a brief blurb of Destination Wedding.
Wedding
planner Kate Ashby’s fear of flying is eased by a sexy stranger and one slow
lip lock that rockets her into another obit.
CEO
Luke Cannon has just traded seats with his identical twin. Little did he know
that an innocent kiss while pretending he was his brother would soon create
havoc.
What
happens in the air doesn’t stay up there. Once on tropical land, Kate believes
that the handsome stranger who gave her the best kiss of her life is now her
new client, Drew Cannon, fiancé to the beautiful and wealthy Lauren Kincaid.
While Kate struggles with the intense feelings she thinks she has for Drew,
Luke discovers Kate’s been hired to plan his brother’s destination wedding. He
also realizes the initial sparks they shared 30,000 feet up are now mistakenly
aimed at Drew. Can Luke get Kate to realize that the feelings she has are for
him? He’s got forty-eight hours in paradise to try.
What Really
Happened in the Air? An Interview with Miles Payne, Assistant to Kate Ashby in Destination Wedding by Robyn Neeley
Miles:
“Nancy, Love! Aloha! Thanks
for having me. I’m having so much fun talking about Destination Wedding. Have you
read it yet? Was I your favorite character?”
Nancy:
“Oh
Miles, of course you were. There wouldn't be story without you. So, let’s get
started. As Kate’s assistant and right hand man, I suspect you’ve got all the
dirt on what really happened on that flight from New York City to Hawaii?”
Miles:
“Oh, do I! Apparently instead
of licking wedding invitation envelopes, my boss was licking other things way
up there. What do you want to know?”
Nancy:
“Let’s talk about Chapter
One. We know that Kate was kissed silly by Luke Cannon who pretended to be his
twin brother, Drew. Did she tell you what happened when she landed?”
Miles:
“Not at first, but I knew
something was up. She tried to deny it. Please. She wasn’t fooling me for a
second. I knew from the silly grin on her face, the stains on her dress, and the
evidence sticking out of her bag she’d gotten an invitation to join the Mile
High Club. I was so proud of her!”
Nancy:
“What did you think of Luke and Drew?”
Miles:
“Idiots. (Laughs) I’m kidding. Luke’s great. He should have
come clean from the very beginning. It caused all of us angst believing Kate
made out with our new client. I guess
conflict sells books, and I wouldn’t be sitting here if my boss’s fear of
flying hadn’t caused Drew to go insane that he forced Luke to switch seats with
him.”
Nancy:
“And what about Drew?”
Miles:
“Honestly? We don’t care for each other. He’s annoyed that
I’ve become close with his fiancée, Lauren. (Leans in and whispers). Robyn
hinted to me earlier that Lauren and I might become roommates in the sequel.
That will drive Drew over the edge. Ooooh I hope he reads this!”
Nancy:
“Speaking of Lauren, you two got in a little bit of trouble
on Waikiki Beach. What were you thinking?”
Miles:
“I blame Kate for that. My marching orders from her were clear. SPF 4 for
Lauren and no tan lines. No tiny bikini strap lines were going to appear near
Lauren’s cleavage on my watch! How was I suppose to know she was allergic to
the sun? She didn’t say anything—it probably also had something to do with our
endless supply of piña coladas and my
actually not opening the bottle of suntan lotion. Kate’s forgiven me for my
brief lack in judgment; although, I don’t think I’ll be assigned to the
Pitt/Jolie wedding anytime soon.”
Nancy:
“How Kate discovered that it was Luke that kissed her into
another orbit on that flight and not Drew was quite brilliant, yes?”
Miles:
“Well, I wasn’t there, but from what I’ve heard it was
quite a scene. Kate’s lucky Lauren
didn’t drown her in the ocean! Honestly, I don’t know what Kate was
thinking.”
Nancy:
“Will you be planning Kate’s wedding?”
Miles:
“She wouldn’t dare have anyone else do it. It’s going to be
one spectacular party in New York City, and you’re all invited! So is Adam
Levine if you can get word to him! (Robyn made me say that!)”
Miles
isn’t the only one sharing his thoughts on the kiss in the air! Read Drew
